Can you reveal information about sales by product, instead of by sector? Also, note, I am not asking for specific value of sales to specific organisations. Just the overall cost to different sections of the market. We therefore provide the following response under the FOIA. > In this instance your request falls within the "Commercial interests" exemption under section 43 of the FOIA. We believe this exemption applies because to release the detailed breakdown of sales by sector would severely prejudice Ordnance Survey's commercial interests. We have determined that in all the circumstances of this case, the needs of the Public Interest would not be served by prejudicing Ordnance Survey's ability to operate efficiently and effectively as a Trading Fund and its capacity to meet the financial targets set for it by Ministers under the terms of the Ordnance Survey Trading Fund Order 1999. > Therefore I regret to inform you that Ordnance Survey will not be providing the requested information to you. > If you are unhappy with our response, you may raise an appeal to our Appeals Officer at: > Customer Service Centre > Ordnance Survey > Romsey Road > SOUTHAMPTON > SO16 4GU > Please include the reference number above.
