Apparently my enthusiasm about the National Park 'The Bavarian Forest' was catching, because when I showed Dennis Rademaker the pictures, he immediately suggested to jump in the car and go, before the snow would melt. As I think spontaneous ideas are often the best; so we did! Last friday we drove the 850km down the South of Germany but our hopes went down the drain when, during 800km, it was still sunny and there wasn’t a snowflake in sight! It was only when we left the highway, when the ground turned white and at the same time, it gently started snowing. We spent 3 days in the area; the first day started with -8 degrees and heavy snow. The 8km hike through the park – I swear that every path went Uphill!! - with 20kg of gear on my back, was one of the heaviest I ever did, but so worth it! The second and third day were even colder, with -13,5 degrees C on Monday, but I think I speak for the both of us, when I say that we enjoyed every minute. (well, maybe save the hour that we were running up and down a hill, just to get the blood running through our toes again :-) And I didn't even loose weight! Grrr... ) This wolf’s grimace was not one of aggression, but actually the opposite. found these cool walking sticks and just had to share his site with everyone. I love how you can see his hand on the side of his face thru the fabric... used a sheer silk chiffon that I bought online. Late night surfing for this whole set-up... gotta love online shopping! This is Bennett, 13 days old and a little curly peanut! I cloned Tracy out, Daddy was holding one end and our new assistant Joanna was holding the other end. Beanbag just inches below him and we only had him in here for 5 minutes, then on to the next shot!

Today is "Wear Red To Work" Day for the British Heart Foundation. As my job is to be a Mum, "The Boss" and I went out for a walk wearing our red uniform (coats and wellies!). It took us a few attempts as "The Boss" kept turning round to wave bye-bye to the camera! Dress up, dress down, bake, paint, collect, run, dance… Everyone’s going Red for Heart for National Heart Month this February. So don’t be surprised if you see people sky diving in top-to-toe red. Or wearing their red pyjamas to school. It’s all in aid of the British Heart Foundation. And we’d love you to join in. We’re a charity dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care and by providing vital information but we urgently need your support. What will you do? Generally i avoid taking my camera out in the rain but Sophie told me to get over it. Last night was perfect for that, but if it doesn't work tomorrow i'm blaming her. Update: Explore number 1!
