Welcome to our group! We're a group of about 15 people in the Cambridge UK area helping Oxfam fight poverty and create a better and fairer world.  If you are prepared to give up some of your spare time to help with fundraising and campaigning in the Cambridge area then get involved.

Oxfam Campaigns

Control Arms

Lack of control on the arms trade is fuelling conflict, poverty and human rights abuses worldwide.
Oxfam's 'Million Faces' petition is collecting photos and self portraits from around the world to reach our goal of one million faces. We will use these faces to send a powerful global message to the world's governments for an International Arms Treaty. See the Control Arms website for more information and to add your face to the campaign.

Make Trade Fair Campaign

Oxfam campaigns to Make Trade Fair. The rules of trade are skewed against the poorest countries in the world. For every dollar given to poor countries in aid, they lose two dollars to rich countries because of unfair trade barriers against their exports.

Action:

1. Add your self to a virtual crowd calling for fairer trade rules.
2. Email your friends, and tell them to join in the big noise.
3. Get involved in our local group.
4. Get involved nationally.
